Stamping With Blue Moon Creations

Watercolor Serene Silhouettes

In keeping with the “Less is More” philosophy, I created this clean and simple birthday card using Serene Silhouettes, new from Stampin’ Up!

Serene silhouettes 012

I really like the birds in the tree image that is part of this stamp set.  It reminds me of the view I see at our bird feeder every morning.  The birds are patiently waiting for me in the surrounding trees as I come out to give them their morning meal.  Once they see/hear me come out the door, one of the Stellar Jays sends out a call announcing to the others that breakfast has been served.  They barely wait for me to turn my back and walk away and down they swoop.

The background is simple.  I swiped a few watercolor crayons on a piece of watercolor paper.  Then, mixed them with an aquapainter filled with water.  After the paper dried, I stamped the image using black Stazon ink.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Sets: Serene Silhouettes, Sincere Salutations

Ink: Marina Mist, various watercolor crayons, black Stazon

Paper: Marina Mist, Very Vanilla, watercolor paper

Accessories: Aquapainter
