January Fresh Ideas Faux Quilting Technique-Come Fly With Me Quilting Pattern

Dandy Garden Come Fly with Me
Dandy Garden Faux Quilt Card-Come Fly With Me quilt pattern was my inspiration!

I have said many times that I love working with fabric but don't enjoy sewing.

I have a sewing machine, but it rarely gets used.

I don't quilt, but I appreciate the beauty and time it takes to create one.

I discovered the Faux Quilting Technique using paper instead of fabric, and over the years, have created many cards using this technique.

I recently saw this Come Fly With Me quilt pattern on Pinterest.

I knew instantly that this pattern would easily translate into a faux quilting project.

A quilt made out of paper instead of fabric!

This quick and easy card is sure to bring a smile with the dragonflies found in the Dragonfly Garden stamp set.

Stamp the dragonflies on Basic White card stock using Blackberry Bliss ink.  Then, fill in the wings using Bumblebee ink.  Add the greeting using Calypso Coral ink, and add some glimmer dots for a touch of sparkle.
