Tie-Dye Hexagons

Tie dye hexagons

I often incorporate paper towels or baby wipes that I have used to blot watercolor, Pigment Sprinkles or to clean off stamps in my crafting.

That was the case with this card.

I used the paper towel I used to blot Pigment Sprinkles backgrounds in various other projects

I love the bright colors and tie-dye effect!

For more of my cards using these recycled backgrounds, please visit my Recycle and Reuse page HERE.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Sets: Honey Bee, Itty Bitty Greetings

Ink: Memento Black, Blackberry Bliss

Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker

Paper: Granny Apple Green, Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White

Accessories: paper towel, Big Shot, Tombow Multi-purpose Glue, Detailed Bee Dies,

Pigment Sprinkles Honey Bee Hexagons

Honey Bee Hexagons Anniversary

Honey Bee Hexagons Thank You

I had left over honeycombs and hexagons from my card HERE, so I decided to pair them with Pigment Sprinkles backgrounds.

I simply spritzed watercolor paper with water, then added Pigment Sprinkles.

For the first card, I used Melon Mambo and Granny Apple Green Pigment Sprinkles.

For the second card, I used Granny Apple Green and Bermuda Bay Sprinkles.

I let the Sprinkles run and pool, then dabbed the paper with a paper towel.

Once dry, I added the honey combs using a small amount of Tombow Multi-purpose Glue.  I filled in a few of the honey combs with left over hexagons.

The greetings came from Itty Bitty Greetings.

Oops, I should have used the Stamparatus for the greeting on the second card as it came out a little crooked stamped free hand!

Sending Flowers Die Meets Baby Wipe Background

Sending Flowers Baby Wipe Background

Sending Flwoers Baby Wipe Background 1

I created these 2 cards using the baby wipes left over from a card idea I was experimenting with.

I'm not sure what happened to that particular card as it obviously didn't make the cut, but I kept the baby wipes to use for another project or two.

Recycle and Reuse!

Here's what the baby wipes looked like:

Baby wipes

I simply attached them to scrap card stock using SNAIL Adhesive, then trimmed them down for use in other projects.

For these, I paired the baby wipe backgrounds with the Sending Flowers Die for quick and easy cards.

The tie-dye effect just makes me smile!

The Sending Flowers die is part of the Coordination Product Release from Stampin' Up! and is available through March 31 or while supplies last.

Gears Valentine's Day Card

Gears Valentine

Happy Valentine's Day!

I made this quick and easy card for my husband for Valentine's Day.

I cut the gears out of Copper Foil Paper using my Big Shot and Gears Dies.

I attached it to a piece of Copper Foil Paper using Tombow Mutli-purpose Glue. Then, I cut out a heart using my Big Shot and Hearts Die.

I used the next larger heart to cut out a heart out of Basic Black card stock, then embossed it using the Corrugated Embossing Folder.

The greeting is from an older Paper Pumpkin kit, Filled with Love.

I heat embossed it on the Copper Foil Paper card front using black embossing powder.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set: Filled with Love

Ink: Versamark

Paper: Basic Black, Copper Foil Paper

Accessories: Big Shot, Gears and Hearts Dies, Corrugated Embossing Folder, Embossing Buddy, heat tool, black embossing powder, Dimensionals, Tombow Multi-purpose Glue

Very Versailles Valentine's Day Cards

This is my second posting sharing Valentine's Day cards I have made for customers and friends.

Again, I am using stamp sets in my collection that aren't necessarily Valentine's Day themed.  But with the right colors and sentiment, they could easily be sent to special people in your life.

For these cards, I used the stamp set Very Versailles.

Daisy Very VersaillesDaisy Very Versailles

I stamped the script image from Very Versailles using Rococo Rose ink on scrap Whisper White card stock.  Then,  I punched out 4 flowers using the Daisy Punch.

The leaves image was stamped on the Whisper White matting using Rococo Rose ink.  And, it was stamped on the Petal Pink card front using Petal Pink ink.  I then ran it through the Big Shot, embossing it with the Subtle embossing folder.

The greeting is from Filled with Love, an old Paper Pumpkin Kit.  I used the Stamparatus to get a good stamped image.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Sets: Very Versailles, Filled with  Love (Paper Pumpkin)

Ink: Rococo Rose, Petal Pink

Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blend

Paper: Petal Pink, Whisper White

Accessories: Daisy Punch,  Big Shot, Subtle Embossing Folder, Clear and Frosted Epoxy Droplets, sponge, Dimensionals, sponge, Stamparatus

HeartsVery Versailles Hearts

This card actually has hearts!

I stamped the script image from Very Versailles using Memento Black ink on scrap Flirty Flamingo card stock.

Then, I punched out hearts using my retired Heart Punch.  I used Mini Dimensionals to pop them up on the Basic Black card front.

(For current product, you could use the Heart Punch Pack found in the Jan-June 2020 Mini Catalog.  #151292, $34.00)

I stamped the strip of brocade images at the top of the Petal Pink matting, using my Stamparatus for perfect alignment.

The ribbon placed over the brocade is Petal Pink 5/8" Organdy Striped Ribbon.

The pearls were colored with a Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blend.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set: Very Versailles, Filled with Love (Paper Pumpkin)

Ink: Memento Black

Paper: Flirty Flamingo, Petal Pink, Basic Black

Accessories: Heart Punch, Petal Pink 5/8" Organdy Striped Ribbon, pearls, Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blend, Stamparatus, Mini Dimensionals

Very Versailles CollageVery Versailles Collage

For the last card, I paired Very Versailles with a butterfly from Butterfly Gala.

The scrolls at the top and bottom of the card front were cut out using the Big Shot and Painted Labels Dies.  These are the dies that come in the Painted Poppies Bundle.

The ribbon is some more retired product from my stash.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Sets: Very Versailles, Butterfly Gala, Filled with Love (Paper Pumpkin)

Ink: Memento Black

Paper: Very Vanilla, Basic Black

Accessories: Big Shot, Painted Labels and Layering Oval Dies, Butterfly Duo Punch, Mini Dimensionals, ribbon out of my stash

Painted Poppies Valentine's Day Card

Over the next few days, I'll be sharing some Valentine's Day cards I created to send out to customers and friends.

I used stamps in my collection that aren't necessarily Valentine's Day themed, but with the right colors and greeting, they lend themselves to cards that can be sent to the special people in your life.

For the first two, I used the stamp set Painted Poppies.  I stamped them onto Whisper White card bases using Memento Black ink, then colored in the image using a variety of Blends.

The greeting is from Honey Bee.  I used the Stamparatus to get good stamped images.

The pearls were colored with a Lovely Lipstick Blend.

The black and silver cording is retired, but any ribbon could be substituted.
