Country Road Clear Block Stamping
July 26, 2018
I combined Country Road, my new favorite stamp set with clear block stamping, one of my favorite techniques!
These cards were quick and simple, taking less than 5 minutes to create.
Here's how:
- Dab ink pads onto a clear block, then spritz with water until the ink begins to pool and run. Stamp on card stock and let sit for a few seconds. Remove the block, and you'll have a mix of colors, creating a pretty background. For the first card, I dabbed Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, and Mango Melody ink onto an "E" clear block, then stamped onto Shimmery White card stock. Watercolor paper would work also. Colors used for the second card were Pool Party and Pacific Point.
- Once the ink had dried, I masked the bottom of the square with a strip of copy paper, then stamped the "weed" image from Country Road using Mossy Meadow ink. The greeting from Country Road was also stamped in Mossy Meadow.
- I attached the card fronts to the Mossy Meadow and Pacific Point card bases using Dimensionals to pop them up.
Done, that's it!
