Me too!

(Click HERE to view more Thank You Thinlits and Garden Impressions cards.)

These truly took less than 5 minutes to create!

The most time consuming part was cutting the thin strips of Dimensionals to place on the back of the die cut to pop it up.

Have you seen the new Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper?

Sneak Peek: In July, Stampin' Up! will be offering their Buy 3, get 1 Free special on Designer Series Paper.

Garden Impressions is included in this special!

The colors in the floral and abstract patterns are so vivid.

It is hard for me to choose a favorite, but all are great backgrounds to pair with the Thank You Thinlits Die.

For these cards the dark blue abstract is the design on one side of the sheets.  Turn it over, and you have the pretty flower design.

Just pick a coordinating color for the die cut and the card base.

Use those Scraps! Father's Day Strips of Scraps Card

Fathers Day Strip Scrap Card
Strips of Scraps Father's Day Card

Father's Day is just a few days away!

Here's a quick and easy card, perfect for Father's Day or any other occasion.

And what's best about it is it  is a way to use up some of those paper scraps that are probably laying around your crafting table.

Here's how:

If you are like me, you have all different colors and sizes of  paper scraps next to your paper trimmer.

I sorted through them and picked out pieces of Basic Black, Whisper White, Smoky Slate and Bermuda Bay that were about 4" long and were wide enough that I could cut them down to 1/2" strips.

Fathers Day Strip Scrap Card step 1

Then, I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock measuring 5" x 3 3/4" to use as my base.

I drew a diagonal line across the piece using a ruler and pencil.  This line would be by guide for setting the strips of paper.

I cut a piece of Adhesive Sheet the same size, peeled off the backing, laid it onto the base, then removed the sheet leaving a sticky layer which would be what adheres the strips to the base.  No need for any other adhesive.

Fathers Day Strip Scrap Card step 2

Then, it is just a matter of attaching the strips, alternating the colors.  The pieces will extend past the base, and they can easily be trimmed off from the back side when complete.

Fathers Day Strip Scrap Card step 3

Fathers Day Strip Scrap Card step 4

Once the ends have been trimmed, it is easy to complete the card using a greeting for any occasion.

For this card, I used the greeting stamps from Manly Moments, May's Paper Pumpkin kit.  I stamped them on a scrap piece of Smoky Slate card stock using Memento Black ink, then punched the piece using the Starburst punch.  The greeting was matted onto a piece of Basic Black cut out using the 2 1/4" circle punch and added to the front of the card using Mini Dimensinals to pop it up.

I attached the card front to a Basic Black mat, then attached it to a Bermuda Bay card base.

I added black faceted dots to complete.

Easy, easy, and the possibilities are endless.

Just use what scraps you have on your crafting table!

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set: Manly Moments

Ink: Memento Black

Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Bermuda Bay

Accessories: Adhesive Sheet, Starburst and 2 1/4" circle punches, Mini Dimensionals, faceted dots

Flowers! Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper Stencil

Flower sheet stencil
Grid Sheet Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper

One more idea using the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper as a stencil!

For this card, I trimmed the flower and circle design from the laser-cut paper and attached it to a scrap piece of grid sheet paper using washi tape.

I first stamped the greeting from Detailed with Love using Memento Black ink.

Using sponge daubers, I added Rich Razzleberry, Minto Macaron, and Mango Melody inks.

I attached the card front to Basic Black card base and added Faceted Dots to complete.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set: Detailed with Love

Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Mint Macaron, Mango Melody, Memento Black

Paper: Basic Black, scrap piece of grid sheet paper, Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper

Accessories: sponge daubers, Faceted Dots, washi tape

Stencils! Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Paper

Here are two more cards that I created using pieces of the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper as stencils.

Dragonfly
Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper Trellis Stencil

For this card, I trimmed the trellis design from the 12"x12  sheet of Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Paper and secured it to a piece of Shimmery White card stock using washi tape from my stash.

With 2 foam brayers, I added Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green and Old Olive inks overs the stencil.

Once the stencil is removed, I was left with a pretty, shimmery trellis background.

I cut the solid dragonfly using the Big Shot and Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Die out of one of the small cards in the Delightfully Detailed Memories and More Card Pack.

I then cut the detailed dragonfly out of another design found in the Memories and More Card Pack.

The solid dragonfly was attached to the card front using SNAIL Adhesive, and the detailed dragonfly was attached with a Mini Glue Dot to pop it up.

The greeting is a sticker from the Memories and More Card Pack.

Supplies Used:

Ink: Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green, and Old Olive

Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Shimmery White, Delightfully Detailed Note Cards and Envelopes

Accessories: sponge brayer, washi tape, Big Shot, Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies, Mini Dimensionals

Leaf stencil
Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper Leaf Stencil

For this card, I trimmed the leaf design from the laser-cut paper and secured it to a piece of Whisper White card stock using washi tape.

Using sponge daubers, I added Granny Apple Green and Old Olive ink.

I punched 2 daisies out of a piece from the Memories and More Card Pack, and offset one on top of the other using a Mini Dimensional in between.

I dyed a piece of 5/8" Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle ribbon using a spritzer bottle  filled with water mixed with a few drops of Rich Razzleberry ink refill.

Once the ribbon was dry, I attached it to the stencil card front, then layered it to a Rich Razzleberry mat.

I added the daisy using a Mini Dimensional to pop it up.

I cut the center of the flower out of Rich Razzleberry card stock using a 3/4" circle punch.  I glued it to the center of the daisy, then added a Faceted Dot to complete.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set: Wish Big (Paper Pumpkin)

Ink: Granny Apple  Green (new), Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry ink refill

Paper: Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Delightfully Detailed Memories and More Card Pack

Accessories: sponge daubers, Daisy and 3/4" circle punches, 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle ribbon, spritzer bottle with water,  washi tape, Faceted Dots, Mini Dimensionals

Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Paper as Stencils

Flower stencil
Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Paper Stencil

Have you checked out the beautiful Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper found in the new Stampin' Up! catalog?

There are 2 designs, 4- 12"x12" sheets each.

One of the sheets has several laser-cut designs which can be cut down and used individually for projects.

When I saw the designs, I immediately thought of stencils!

So, I cut one of the sheets down to use as stencils to create some easy and bright thank you cards.

I will save the stencils to use later.

That still leaves me with 3 sheets of this paper to cut down and use for other projects.

For the card above, I used the piece with individual flowers.

I taped the stencil to a piece of Shimmery White card stock using washi tape from my stash.

Then, I used sponge daubers to add colors from the Brights Collection:

Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, and Mango Melody (all new!), Melon Mambo, and Daffodil Delight.

Flower stencil closeup

When all the colors had been added, I carefully removed the washi tape and removed the stencil.  Then, I cut the piece down to use as my card front.

The greeting is from the Detailed with Love stamp set stamped on a scrap piece of Shimmery White card stock using Granny Apple Green ink.

I punched it out using 1 3/8" circle punch and sponged on Mango Melody ink along the edges.  I matted it onto a piece of Melon Mambo card stock punched out using a 1 3/4" circle punch.

The card front was attached to a Melon Mambo mat, then attached to Granny Apple Green card base.

Easy, easy!

Please check back over the next few days for more ideas using the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut paper as stencils.
