Have you checked out the beautiful Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper found in the new Stampin' Up! catalog?
There are 2 designs, 4- 12"x12" sheets each.
One of the sheets has several laser-cut designs which can be cut down and used individually for projects.
When I saw the designs, I immediately thought of stencils!
So, I cut one of the sheets down to use as stencils to create some easy and bright thank you cards.
I will save the stencils to use later.
That still leaves me with 3 sheets of this paper to cut down and use for other projects.
For the card above, I used the piece with individual flowers.
I taped the stencil to a piece of Shimmery White card stock using washi tape from my stash.
Then, I used sponge daubers to add colors from the Brights Collection:
Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, and Mango Melody (all new!), Melon Mambo, and Daffodil Delight.
When all the colors had been added, I carefully removed the washi tape and removed the stencil. Then, I cut the piece down to use as my card front.
The greeting is from the Detailed with Love stamp set stamped on a scrap piece of Shimmery White card stock using Granny Apple Green ink.
I punched it out using 1 3/8" circle punch and sponged on Mango Melody ink along the edges. I matted it onto a piece of Melon Mambo card stock punched out using a 1 3/4" circle punch.
The card front was attached to a Melon Mambo mat, then attached to Granny Apple Green card base.
Please check back over the next few days for more ideas using the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut paper as stencils.
