The Ladies of Wetmore get together once a month for lunch at local restaurants. My friend Vivienne and I are the hostesses for the upcoming lunch in April. We recently got together to make these fun Ghirardelli chocolate bags using the left over pieces from the January My Paper Pumpkin kit "Filled With Love."
We decided that our theme would be "April Showers Brings May Flowers!" Since the left over tags in the kit had hearts on them, we decided we needed to come up with another patterned paper. I searched my stash and found a packet of the retired Designer Series Paper, Sunshine and Sprinkles. One of the patterns was pretty colored umbrellas. Perfect! I cut 1 7/8" x 6" strips of the paper, and then punched one end using my Scallop Tag Topper punch. Then, they were folded in half and placed over the top of each of the bags after a Ghirardelli chocolate square was added to the inside. These squares fit perfectly into the bags! We punched coordinating flowers and banners and added them to the front of the tags. The scallop punch creates a small hole in the paper, so we tied bows made with coordinating Baker's Twine through the holes. The bag is held closed with the clips that came in the kit. We made 15 of these in a matter of a few minutes! Easy, easy.
