Happy Birthday Lovely as a Tree

Lovely as a Tree 062

My Mom has recently started stamping!  She created this card for my husband's birthday using Lovely as a Tree and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets.  These stamp sets are two of my all-time favorites.

Here's an idea:  Change the colors to blue and silver, and this card could easily become a Christmas card!

Love the clean and simple style!  Great job Mom!

Rich Razzleberry Blended Bloom-Nacho Average Challenge #104

Our colors this week for the Nacho Average color challenge are Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry.

Here's my contribution:

Blendabilities 014

For this card, I decided I'd use what was out on my crafting table at the time.  I've been busy prepping for upcoming Stamp Clubs and my first Christmas Stamp a Stack this month.  Wow, sometimes it works out that the colors I had out are the challenge colors for the week!

Blendabilities 018

So, I started out by stamping the Dictionary background stamp on a piece of Whisper White card stock using Bermuda Bay ink.  Then, I stamped the Blended Bloom image on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock using the Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it in using my Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities.  I cut it out using a pair of scissors (sorry, no punch or framelit for this one), and popped it up in the center of the stamped Dictionary using Dimensionals.  The greeting is from Itty Bitty Banners stamped in Rich Razzleberry and cut out using the Banners Framelits and the Big Shot.  Easy, Easy!

Be sure to check out each of the Design Team's entries to the challenge and leave a comment if you can.  It means a lot to all of us!  We'd also love for you to play along with the weekly challenges.  A Linky Tool has been added so you can upload your creation to the Nacho Design Team site.

Supplies Used:

Stamp Sets: Dictionary, Blended Bloom and Itty Bitty Banners

Ink: Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry, Memento Tuxedo Black, Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities, Color Lifter

Paper: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White

Accessories: Big Shot, Banners Framelits, Dimensionals, Brights Candy Dots, scissors

Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities and Blended Bloom

Blended Bloom 001

The Blended Bloom image was stamped several times using the Tuxedo Black Memento pad on Whisper White card front.  The main image was stamped and colored in using Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities.  I started with the darker color, then filled in with the medium color, then filled in with the lighter color.  I used the Color Lifter to add highlights.  The image was then cut out using scissors and added to the stamped card front using Dimensionals.  Easy, easy and love the color pop!

Mosaic Madness- Nacho Average Challenge #103

Time for another sketch challenge this week over at the Nacho Average Challenge site.

Here's my contribution:

Mosaic Madness 008

For this card, I used 4 of the the new In Colors from Stampin' Up!-Tangelo Twist, Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow, and Honey Hello.  The mosaics were stamped, then punched out using the coordinating Mosaic punch.  To create the background, I simply swiped the Honey Hello ink pad inside the Modern Mosaic embossing folder, inserted a piece of Whisper White card stock, then ran it through the Big Shot for an emboss resist technique.  I really like the pop of color left on the embossed white card stock.

Here's the original sketch:

Bootiful Occasions-Nacho Average Color Challenge #102

Our color challenge this week over at the Nacho Average site is Pool Party, Night of Navy and Tangerine Tango.

Here's my contribution:

Bootiful Occasions 040

This card was inspired by all the rain we've been getting this summer.  Never thought we'd need rain boots in this part of the country!  But, we are not complaining.  We need the moisture to help alleviate the drought conditions in the surrounding forests from the past couple of years.  Plus, our garden is doing great!

Stamp Set: Bootiful Occasions

Ink: Night of Navy, Pool Party and Tangerine Tango markers

Paper Coffee Cup Filled with Flowers and Tutorial

Paper Coffee Cup Tutorial 022

I recently discovered this cute paper coffee cup idea from my friend and fellow stamper Joyce Lovato.  One of our recent Stamp Club swap themes was "anything but a card."  Joyce made a paper coffee cup and filled it with candy for each of us participating in the swap.  I knew I had to give it a try!  I filled my paper coffee cup with Easter grass and added punched flowers attached to flexible straws.  A perfect cup of cheer to share for any occasion!

Instructions for Paper Coffee Cup Bouquet of Flowers can be found HERE as a pdf
