Cajun Craze Sunflower-Nacho Average Challenge #56

We have a pretty color challenge this week over at the Nacho Average Challenge site:

Cajun Craze, Pool Party and Early Espresso

NAC 56

Here's my contribution:

Sunflower 008

This card was inspired by the burgundy-colored sunflowers that are blooming in my garden.  Sunflowers always make me think of early fall.

I inked up the Sunflower background stamp first with Cajun Craze ink.  I lightly tapped the edges of the stamp using Early Espresso, then stamped it on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla card stock.  I toned down the Pool Party card front by spritzing on a little household bleach.  You can't really tell by the photo, but in real life, the Pool Party has interesting white splotches where the bleach was spritzed.  I cut the sunflower out using scissors and popped it up using Dimensionals.  I inked up the center of the sunflower again using Early Espresso, stamped, then punched it out using the 1" circle punch.  It is matted on Pool Party 1 1/4" scallop circle.  The greeting is Sincere Salutations.  Although it is retired, it is still one of my all-time greeting sets.

Be sure to check out each of the Design Team's entry to the challenge and leave a comment if you can.  It means a lot to all of us!  We'd also love for you to play along with the weekly challenges.  A Linky Tool has been added so you can upload your creation to the Nacho Design Team site.
