Autumn Spice Season of Friendship

This card was inspired by the color of the changing leaves this fall at my mountain home in Colorado.  We have had below freezing temps at night now for over 3 weeks, so most of the leaves have fallen.  But, it sure was pretty.  Fall, my favorite time of year!

Autumn Spice Thank you

I love the Autumn Spice Designer Series Paper found in the Holiday Mini Catalog!  I love the colors of fall, and Autumn Spice is beautiful.  It also has a really nice texture to it.  Colors include Cajun Craze, Old Olive, More Mustard and Early Espresso.  I think Early Espresso is my new favorite color.  I didn't think I would be able to pass up Chocolate Chip, but I now seem to go for Early Espresso everytime.

These cards were so easy to create.  I had several Autumn Spice scraps left over from another project, and I cut them into 1 1/2" strips.  Layer them onto coordinating paper, add a greeting, and done!

This is the card that is being sent to customers who placed November orders.

Stamp-a-Stacks are a favorite of new and experienced stampers.  Stamp-a-Stacks are all about creating a balance between great designs, affordability, and the ability to create a number of cards in a short amount of time.  These festive designs feature details that will make them stand out from the avalanche of holiday cards your friends and family receive.  Because you can create at least 144 cards from a single pack of Designer Series Paper and coordinating supplies, the cards are super affordable.  Punches make quick work of adding stamped accents so these cards can be created in an instant.

With this Stamp-a-Stack, you will learn to create:

-6 cards (double-up to make 12, or triple-up to make 18 or use the whole pack of Designer-Series Paper to create 144 cards!)

These cards feature the Tags til Christmas stamp set and coordinating punches along with the Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper.  Fantastic accents like the self-adhesive Rhinestone Jewels, 1/2" Seam Binding and Waffle Paper make adding details a snap.  Optional texture using the Square Lattice Texture Impression Embossing Folder and Big Shot makes a great step-up option without adding cost or bulk.  Imagine the joy and feelings of caring your friends and family will feel when they open their holiday cards this year!

Start stamp-a-stacking; you will be glad you did.

Stencil

I needed a quick birthday card recently.  I got out one of my favorite Decor Stencils and Color Coach.  I always seem to be drawn to the color combination of Poppy Parade, Not Quite Navy and Crumb Cake!  This was one of those 5 minute cards, and most of that was deciding which stencil and what colors to use!  Lay the stencil down on your card front.  Hold it down with one hand and sponge on color with the other.  You can make it as light or as dark as you want.

Daffodil Delight Embossing Folder Resist- Sweet One

This was one of my attempts for the Stamp Club "baby" card swap. (see posting dated 11/05)

It has kind of grown on me, and I will probably change out the greeting to use for another occasion. I used the Embossing Folder Resist Technique.

Vintage A Kind Thanks

This was my swap card for my October Sunday Stamp Club.  The theme was "vintage".

A Kind Thanks Vintage Card 002

I used the embossing folder resist technique, one of my all-time favorites.  Ink up the inside of an embossing folder using a brayer.  Add your cardstock and run through your Big Shot.  Depending on which side of the embossing folder you add the ink (raised or recessed) will determine how the ink will resist as it runs through the Big Shot.  I also used the Cherry Cobbler 1/2" seam binding found in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  It has a great feel to it and is so easy to work with.  Even I could tie a half decent bow with it!

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set: A Kind Thanks

Ink: Early Espresso

Paper: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Love Letter Designer Series Paper

Accessories: Square Lattice Embossing Folder, brayer, Big Shot, 1/2" Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding, hemp twine, various buttons from my stash

Happy New Baby!

This was my swap card for my Saturday October Stamp Club.  The theme was "baby", and I was really struggling with the design.  I don't have any baby stamps!  I wanted the card to be able to be used for either a girl or a boy, so knew I didn't want to use pink or blue.  I thought and thought and tried several ideas and nothing was coming together.  At the point I was about to let the Stamp Club know I was bowing out of the swap, I took a look through the Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog.  And there on page 48 was my inspiration!  A Good Egg!  A perfect stamp set to use for a baby card.  I basically used the same layout as the sample in the catalog but changed the colors.  I really like the way it came out.

 Reflections of Fall Faux Postage

This faux postage card was inspired by the fall colors in my new home located in the Wet Mountains of Southern Colorado.  Fall is my favorite time of year, and I've enjoyed watching the changing colors on the aspens, oaks and other foliage in my own back yard!
