Watercolor Trees
An easy watercolor technique using ink refills for an easy Christmas card idea.
The color possibilities are endless!
Watercolor Trees How To:
- Spritz watercolor paper with water. You want the paper to be reasonably wet.
- Add drops of ink refills into the water one at a time. The ink will pool and spread. I used Blueberry Bushel, Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue, Lost Lagoon, and Old Olive inks. Set the paper aside to dry.
- Die-cut or punch the paper into shapes. Or, leave it whole to use as a background piece. I used my Tree Punch to create Christmas trees.
- Add a touch of shimmer to the trees using Wink of Stella or Shimmer Paint applied with a sponge dauber.
- Tear pieces of Basic White card stock for the landscape. Stamp greeting from Brightest Glow stamp set using Blueberry Bushel ink.
- Attach to Soft Sea Foam card front. Attach to Blueberry Bushel mat, then to Basic White card base.
- Slip trees behind the landscape using Dimensionals to pop up the center tree. Punch a star out of Crushed Curry card stock and add it to the top of the center tree. Add Tinsel Gems to complete.
