Using the Robot Buddies Card Kit from Stampin’ Up!

Robot Buddies Easter Card

The kit has everything you need to create nine cards: a stamp set with mix and match robot parts, ink spots, card bases, envelopes, stickers, googly eyes, Dimensionals, and a clear block.

When I saw the Robot Buddies Card Kit from Stampin’ Up! I immediately knew I had to purchase it!

It has all the elements that our 2-year-old Grandson loves!  Robots, gears, mechanical parts!

And I knew I wanted to use the kit to create a robot Easter Bunny card for him for Easter.

To do this, I paired the kit with the retired stamp set Pyramid Pals.  I’ve kept this set over the years because it is perfect for creating all kinds of critters for our two young grandchildren.

I knew the ears found in the stamp set would work perfectly with the robot.

Be sure to watch my How-To Video on how I made this card HERE

Here’s How:

  1. Because I wanted the ears to be behind the robot’s head, I created a mask of the head using a post-it note.  I stamped the image on the post-it-note, then cut it out using scissors.
  2. Stamp the robot’s body on one of the three-card bases found in the kit using the Bermuda Bay ink spot.
  3. Place the head mask above the body. Stamp the ears from Pyramid Pals over the mask. If you don’t have a bunny ears stamp, you could draw them in or use a punch like the Daisy Punch.  Cut the petals down and use two as ears.
  4. Remove the mask and stamp the robot’s head in the space.
  5. Stamp greeting on a scrap piece of Balmy Blue card stock using Bermuda Bay ink.  I used the “Happy Easter” stamp found in Bunny Buddies, an older Paper Pumpkin Kit.  Banner cut one end and attach to the card base using a Dimensional to pop it up.
  6. Add stickers and googly eyes; next, add color.  I used my Pumpkin Pie and Balmy Blue Stampin’ Write Markers.

Done, and so easy!

Our grandson will love this card!

I bet you know a kid that would love a robot card too!
