Clean and simple card idea
using pretty designer paper and die cuts!
What is the definition of a clean and simple card?
“Clean and simple (CAS) is a term card makers use to describe cards that have minimal layers and/or embellishments as well as lots of “white space.” The fewer supplies you use, the better.”
This is sometimes harder than you’d think. We tend to want to add layers and embellishments to our creations, so you have to have the mindset that less is more.
That was my intent with this clean and simple card idea!
Here’s How:
- Cut a frame for the card out of Basic White card stock using a die-cut machine and square die. Or, you could use a punch.
- Cut a piece of designer paper the same size as the square. I used the pretty Rings of Love Designer Series Paper for this card. This paper is a Sale-A-Bration choice. During Sale-A-Bration, earn a free product for every $50 spent. Sale-A-Bration ends August 30!
- Attach the frame to the designer paper. I used a small amount of Tombow Liquid Glue.
- Die-cut a flower from Basic White card stock using a die-cut machine and Meadow Die. Or, you could use a punch or even a sticker.
- Insert the flower into the frame. Again, I used Tombow Liquid Glue.
- Attach to Basic White card base. Stamp greeting from Pansy Patch using Night of Navy ink.
- Option: attach blue gems to the flower centers to complete.
This card measures 4″x4″.
