Love the One Layer Wednesday challenges. This week's challenge is to create a one layer card containing at least one star and at least one stripe.
Here's my contribution:
This was a quick and simple card to make using the Masking Technique. Congratulations to me. I did it! I was able to create this one layer card in just two tries!
To create the masking, I simply cut up a Post-It-Note into 3-1/2" strips. I laid it onto my Whisper White card base and then added more Post-It-Notes around the strips, basically masking the entire card base.
Once the card base was covered up, I removed the 1st strip and sponged on Pretty in Pink ink.
I replaced the 1st strip and removed the 2nd strip. I then sponged on Certainly Celery ink.
Then it was time to remove the 3rd strip and sponge on some Bashful Blue ink.
I removed all the Post-It-Notes and stamped the sprinkling of stars and greeting using black ink. Easy peasy, done!
Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Sprinkled Expressions
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Basic Black
Paper: Whisper White
Accessories: Post-It-Note, sponge
