Less is More! I recently found this great website filled with simple, yet beautiful cards. Less is More is a site that encourages clean and simple, often 1 layer creations. They celebrate and embrace the white space (an area of the card which has no image, layer or embellishment).
Oh my, I feel like I have come home with the discovery of this site. My creations often have white space. I love the simple and crisp look. But at times, I feel that my work doesn't measure up and often end up giving into the pressure to add another layer, another embellishment, another something, another anything... Seriously, this website is like a breath of fresh air to me!
Here is my first submission of many to come- Less is More Week 72 Theme "Something Shiny"
I used the peacock image from my new World Treasures stamp set from Stampin' Up! I colored in parts of the tail using markers. For the "shiny", I added rhinestones that I had colored using Sharpie pens.
Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: World Treasures, Sweet Serendipity
Ink: Midnight Muse, various markers
Paper: Shimmery White, Midnight Muse
Accessories: Sharpie pens, rhinestones
