For this week's Stamping 411 challenge, I created these hybrid cards using Wedding Wheels, Patterned Party and Torn Edges from My Digital Studio. I immediately fell in love with the bicycle built for two in Wedding Wheels and just had to add the balloons from Patterned Party.
The technique is acrylic smoosh using reinkers and a window sheet. For instructions details, please visit my posting here dated October 15, 2011. I first did the acrylic smooth technique on a full piece of glossy white card stock using Peach Parfait and Daffodil Delight reinkers. After it dried, I ran it through my printer, printing the images I set up in My Digital Studio. Then, I cut the paper down to fit a standard sized card. This card is really striking in person with the black silhouette images on the bright background. Sorry, just couldn't quite capture it in a photo.
Here is another card I made using Wisteria Wonder and Marina Mist reinkers. I added a little Frost White Shimmer Paint to create Faux Mother of Pearl. This card shimmers in person. Again, the photo doesn't do it justice. The possibilities are endless with either technique. Get out your reinkers and just play!
