Have you seen the new Shimmer Paint found in the Holiday Mini Catalog from Stampin' Up! I am having so much fun playing with this new product. It adds such a pretty, sparkly effect, especially when it is mixed with alcohol and spritzed on your entire project.
For this card, I mixed a drop of Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint with a drop of Dusty Durango and Crushed Curry reinkers, then picked up the mixed color with sponge daubers and dabbed onto the Medallion background stamp. Shimmer paint is hard to photograph, but believe me, this card is very sparkly in person.

Shimmer Paint Facts:
-Shimmer paint is a pigment ink, so you can do almost anything with it that you can do with ink-you can stamp with it, cover an entire section of card stock or paper with it, or apply it over a stamped image or Rub-On. It works on a variety of surfaces: paper, fabric, wood and leather.
-Shimmer paint comes in three colors: Champagne Mist, Frost White and Platinum
-Champagne Mist and Frost White are translucent-wash them over your project and you’ll get a delicate layer of shine that’s more understated than glitter.
-Platinum is opaque-it will cover your surface completely, so you’ll want to use it as an accent color instead of using it to cover your project.
-Shake before use. Then use the sponge dauber in the cap. That way you don't get too much paint on the dauber.
-Use a sponge dauber or stamping sponge to apply shimmer paint to your project.
-To stamp with shimmer paint, apply a thin layer of paint to the stamp using a sponge dauber and then stamp as usual. Don’t overload the dauber or the paint will seep into the recessed areas of the stamp. You can also add a drop of color to the paint using a dye reinker. I mix the two using a toothpick on a plastic container lid.
-Because Champagne Mist and Frost White are translucent, images you stamp with them will be very light. Images stamped with Platinum will be more dramatic.
-Shimmer paint spritz: fill a spray bottle with approx 2 ounces of rubbing alcohol and add approx 8-10 drops of shimmer paint. (I use a bottle dropper). Shake and you are ready to spritz on some shimmer! The paper will curl when wet, but will relax when dry.
-For an added “Wow” add a few drops of color using a dye reinker to your spritz mix.
-Add shimmer paint to an uninked cartridge to wheel on some shimmer.
-Shimmer paint dries quickly; you don’t need to heat set it.
