Please join Judy Burkhalter and I for an afternoon of creativity and friendship.  We will make this cute and colorful double pocket greeting card folio and 6 assorted coordinating cards using paper and stickers from the Petal Party Simply Scrappin' Kit from Stampin' Up! This would make a perfect graduation, Mother's Day, bridal shower or birthday gift.

Cost and RSVP: Non-refundable class fee of $25.00 is due no later than March 8, 2009.  Class fee includes all supplies needed for the card folio, 6 coordinating greeting cards, envelopes and full instructions.

Happy Birthday to me

Today is my 50th birthday!  I thought I'd share some of the great cards I've received over the past few days.

I love getting mail and birthday mail is the best!

Rustic Rooster

I was so excited when I saw the Hostess Level II stamp set Rustic Rooster in the new Stampin' Up! catalog.  I am a big fan of chickens.  In fact, I still have the retired set Roosting and the coordinating back ground stamp Chicken Wire.   Don't plan on selling them anytime soon either!  I cased this card from Understand Blue.  It was perfect, so why change anything?

Fabric Scallop Envelopes using the Big Shot

I recently rummaged through my fabric scraps and created these cards for the January Stamp Club card swap.  I love being able to cut shapes out of fabric using my Big Shot.  I love working with fabric, but I'm not real keen on the idea of sewing.  So, the Big Shot is perfect for me!

Happy Birthday Stamp A Stack

February is my birthday month! And this year is a big one for me as I celebrate my 50th! birthday!

I invite you to help me celebrate this milestone by attending my Happy Birthday Stamp A Stack class.

Stamp A Stack Class Details

This will give you the opportunity to create a supply of birthday cards which you will have on hand to give throughout the year.

You will make 6 simple cards (2 each of 3 designs) for $10.00. Envelopes will be included. 

    

 

One of the designs will be this cute cupcake card using the Big Shot, Big Bold Cupcakes Sizzlits dies, and the new Texturz plates from Stampin' Up! This will be a great opportunity to get some hands on experience with the Big Shot!

 

You will also make 2 more birthday designs, one of which will be masculine-themed.

When: Wednesday February 25, 2009 5:30 pm. Birthday cake and ice cream will be served! (no presents please)

Our paper quilling class was a big success!

We had such a good time paper quilling on Sunday! 

      

Monica has graciously agreed to teach an Easter Egg paper quilling class on March 29.  More details will follow, but you don't want to miss this one!

Scallop Circle Cards

I recently ordered the Large Scallop Circle die for the Big Shot because I believe one can't have enough of the Big Shot accessories!  I used it over and over again to create the various Christmas thank you, birthday and thinking of you cards that I sent out at the beginning of the year.

Accessories: Big Shot, Large Scallop Die, Coluzzle, scallop edge, large and small oval punches, Old Olive 5/8" ribbon

Baby Dress card

One of my Stamp Club members recently had a baby girl.  I created this card and had the Stamp Club sign the inside with best wishes for her and her family.   The pattern is from Stampin' Up! and can be found here.

 

  I used retired Stampin' Up! designer paper and bric brac ribbon.  The brads are non Stampin' Up! 

Other accessories: double rectangle, 1/16" and 1 1/4" circle punches, Mini Glue Dots

Valentine Shaker Magnets

I made these shaker magnets as thank you gifts for guests at a recent workshop.  Very fun and easy to make!

 

     

Stamps: Happy Heart Day, Love You Much

Ink: Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive ink pads and markers, Basic Black

Paper: Whisper White, Candy Lane and Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper

Accessories: Heart to Heat punch, Small Tag punch, Old Olive 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Crystal Effects to glue the lid to the tin, glitter, Wilton Flavor Tins (found at Jo Ann's), peel and stick magnets (found at any office supply store.)  To pop up the tag inside the tins, I used 2 layers of the old rubber left over from cutting out stamp sets.  I have several baggies filled with pieces of rubber that I use to bring dimension to  projects. Peel off the rubber on one side and the adhesive backing on the other and you are left with a double sided sticky piece.

Stamping on Candles
